Public Transportation


L.A. LIVE is located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd. in downtown Los Angeles, near STAPLES Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center.

There are many alternative forms of transportation with frequent stops near L.A. LIVE, including frequent Metro buses. Use the Metro Trip Planner or contact Metro at (323) GO METRO to find your most convenient form of transportation.

Another option is to ride your bike! Bike racks are available in the East Garage, located at Olympic Blvd and Francisco Street. If you ride down the ramp, racks can be found on the left.

Important Station Closure Information

Blue Line Station Closures

  • June 1 – Late September 2019
  • The Blue Line remains out of service between 7th St/Metro Center and Compton station. The 860 Express, 863 Select, and 864 Local bus shuttles continue to operate.

Metro Bus routes service all of Los Angeles and many lines stop near L.A. LIVE including lines 30, 81, 442, 460 and the Silver Line. To find the route that's best for you, use the Metro Trip Planner or contact Metro at (323) GO METRO.

The nearest shuttle locations to LA Live are Pico Station Bus Shuttles and 7th St/Metro Center.


DASH Bus Route F has several stops on Figueroa St. adjacent to L.A. LIVE. For details on DASH service, go to


Metrolink operates train service within Southern California from Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Orange, and North San Diego Counties. They now have special weekend passes for only $10 which includes free connections to Metro bus and rail lines that stop nearby. AMTRAK offers train service from beyond the Los Angeles area to Union Station, just minutes from L.A. LIVE. For service routes and schedules, visit or call (800) USA-RAIL. Taxi service is available from Union Station to the L.A. LIVE campus.

Note: Amtrak passengers must purchase a separate ticket to ride the Metro Rail.
