After a hugely successful 2007 tour, Rush fans have spoken and they want more. The renowned trio will extend their Snakes & Arrows World Tour into 2008, including two area dates: May 6 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live and May 11 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Both shows will go on sale Sunday, February 3rd at 10 AM.
With these shows, fans will once again get to experience the blistering hard rock, epic scope and technical virtuosity they have come to expect from band members Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. The group will update the set list for this leg of the tour. The trek has already drawn more than half a million people.
Rush is supporting their latest studio album, Snakes & Arrows, their first collection of original material in nearly five years. The set bowed at #3 on the Billboard charts, plus its first single, \"Far Cry,\" was the #1 most-added song at rock radio and hit the Top 10 on the rock radio charts. Also, the track \"Malignant Narcissism\" scored a Grammy nomination (for Best Rock Instrumental Performance).
Since releasing its self-titled debut in 1974, Rush has been universally regarded as one of the most innovative and exciting groups in rock. The band's extraordinary body of work, which includes such acclaimed albums as 2112, Moving Pictures, Roll The Bones, Vapor Trails and more, has achieved worldwide sales exceeding 35 million units.
