In honor of Graduation season, we understand that many are not able to have a physical celebration during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we still want to celebrate the 2020 graduates L.A. LIVE style. From hitting the stage at the GRAMMYs to receiving an honorary doctorate degree in 2014, John Legend is one of our favorite celeb graduates. Back in 1995, he even spoke at his Springfield North High School graduation!

Kanye West

Kanye West received his honorary doctorate from the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015 and his proud wife, Kim Kardashian, was there to capture it all.

Quavo Huncho

Rapper Quavo Huncho also known as a part of the musical trio, Migos, is no stranger to L.A. LIVE. From hitting the red carpet to attending the BET Awards, he is definitely one of our favorite celeb graduates! Congrats to Quavo on his big accomplishment! 


Always known for slaying on the red carpet, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, known as Zendaya, graduated from Oak Park High School in California in 2015. Her inspiring Instagram caption read: “Please remember knowledge is one of the most powerful gifts we have the privilege of receiving...don't take that for granted. To every soon to be grad, know that you CAN do it!” 

Emma Watson

We have seen her on the red carpet and starring on the big screen at Regal L.A. LIVE! Actress, Emma Watson graduated from Brown University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. We're totally here for her cap-and-gown selfie!

Shaquille O'Neal

In 2012, former NBA player, sports analyst and owner of Shaquille's at L.A. LIVE, Shaquille O'Neal received his doctoral degree in Education from Barry University. He was one of 1,100 students honored that day!

Shawn Mendes

In 2016, pop singer Shawn Mendes, who has played at L.A. LIVE many times, achieved a major milestone by graduating from Pine Ridge Secondary School with his high school diploma. Just to put things in perspective, he also hit No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Stitches" shortly after turning 17!
