Los Angeles (September 8) - The City of Los Angeles' official \"El Grito\" celebration, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Mexico's Independence, will take place at L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, September 15th beginning at 6:00 PM.  \"El Grito\" will be part of Univision's comprehensive national bicentennial celebration coverage with a special, and exclusive, broadcast of the festivities.

Festivities will begin at 6:00 PM in Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE and will \"star\" the legendary Mexican duo Los Temerarios.  Other musical performances will include Mexico's own Graciela Beltran (accompanied by her Mariachi Band), Chilean rock star Beto Cuevas, Colombian sensation Fonseca, Mariachi ensemble Mariachi Sol De Mexico, Horoscopos, Mexican singer Guadalupe Pineda accompanied by Grammy winners Mariachi Divas and Folkloric ballet ensemble Ballet Folklorico.  Following the early evening outdoor event, Los Temerarios will perform a full concert in Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE beginning at 10:30PM.  Tickets for this concert are now available via Ticketmaster.

Mexico's Consul General Juan Marcos Gutierrez-Gonzalez will preside over Los Angeles' \"official\" Grito ceremony where he will recall all of the heroes that fought for Mexico's Independence (this speech is the actual Grito).  This special presentation, complete with performances of the national anthems of Mexico and the United States, and representatives of the City and County of Los Angeles and other VIP's including Oscar De La Hoya, Carlos Alvarez, La Chiquibaby, Angelica Vale and Poncho Anda along with selected performances will be broadcast on KMEX Univision 34 and on the Univision Network, on Univision stations across the country. Univision.com (keyword: Bicentenario) will feature video and photo highlights from the event.

\"El Grito\" ceremony - to be held in numerous locations that evening including Mexico City where President Felipe Calderón will appear before a crowd of about one million people - is the reenactment of the original call that the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla did on the eve of September 16th 1810, that lead to the Independence War of Mexico, which 11 years later led to the recognition of Mexico's Independence by the Spanish Monarchy.

Following their appearance in Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE, Los Temerarios will be performing in-concert at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE beginning at 10:30 PM.  All fans that purchase tickets for the Los Temerarios concert (details below) will also receive complimentary and VIP access to the entire El Grito event in Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE.

Tickets to the 10:30 PM Los Temerarios concert at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE are priced at $37.50, $52.50, $72.50, $92.50 & $123.50 and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster Outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000 and at the STAPLES Center Box Office (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM).
