Los Angeles, Ca (March 4, 2013)—The L.A. LIVE and City of Los Angeles' 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival at L.A. LIVE presented by Bud Light at L.A. LIVE on Sunday, March 17 from 11am-6pm in Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE. Los Angeles' traditional and biggest St. Patrick's Day Festival and celebration is free and open to all ages and features Irish food & beverages, Irish music, Irish celebrities and Irish culture. Up to 30,000 people are expected to attend throughout the day. Although their origin is not from Ireland, the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales will travel to Los Angeles for this special appearance.
The 40,000 square-foot Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE will be decorated with a concert stage, antique fire trucks, displays, the Budweiser Clydesdales, Irish food and more. L.A.'s premier \"Arena Rock\" tribute band, Wayward Sons, will headline the Festival's concert along with Irish rock legends Ken O'Malley & The Twilight Lords. They will be joined by the 20-piece L.A. Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums band, the 30-member Cleary Dancers and the Los Angeles Fire Department Honor Guard. Hundreds of motorcycles will ride from Harley-Davidson dealerships in Southern California to L.A. LIVE and park in front of STAPLES Center.
This is the third year the City of Los Angeles has joined with L.A. LIVE for St. Patrick's Day festivities. \"L.A. LIVE is a wonderful venue that allows everyone to come down and celebrate the diversity of Los Angeles,\" said Councilmember Jan Perry.
Joining the festivities for the third consecutive year will be Councilmember Tom LaBonge who said, \"St. Patrick's Day is a day for everybody to be a little Irish. I'm proud of my Irish heritage and I hope you will come out and celebrate with us on March 17th.\"
The Festival is presented by Bud Light and sponsored by L.A. LIVE, 98.7, Keyes Toyota, and SoCal Harley-Davidson.
