LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with forwards Rich Clune, Trevor Lewis, Corey Elkins and Marc-Andre Cliche, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Clune, 23, earned two assists and 26 penalty minutes in 14 regular season games with the Kings this past season, his first in the NHL.  He earned both of those assists in his second career NHL game (Feb. 13 vs. Colorado).  Clune also recorded five penalty minutes in four playoff games with the Kings.  The 5-10, 198-pound native of Toronto spent the bulk of the season with the American Hockey League's Manchester Monarchs, accumulating 14 points (4-10=14) and 126 penalty minutes in 44 games.  His 126 penalty minutes ranked second on Manchester (led the club with 2.86 penalty minutes per game).  Clune was acquired by the Kings from Dallas for Lauri Tukonen on July 21, 2008.

Lewis, 23, began the 2009-10 season with the Kings and recorded zero points and zero penalty minutes in five games.  He was assigned to Manchester on Oct. 30 and registered seven points (5-2=7) and six penalty minutes in 23 regular season games.  Lewis suffered an upper body injury Nov. 11 and missed 47 games (returning to action March 5).  The 6-0, 199-pound native of Salt Lake City had nine points (5-4=9), 10 penalty minutes and a team-leading 52 shots in 16 playoff games, helping the Monarchs advance to the AHL's Eastern Conference Finals.  Lewis was originally selected by the Kings in the first round (17th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and in 11 career NHL games (all with the Kings) he has three points (1-2=3) and zero penalty minutes.

Elkins, 25, had one goal in three games with the Kings this past season, his first in the NHL.  He made his NHL debut Dec. 15 at Edmonton and scored his first NHL goal in his second game, Dec. 17 at Calgary.  The 6-3, 216-pound native of West Bloomfield, Mich. recorded 43 points (21-22=43) and 24 penalty minutes in 73 regular season games with Manchester.  His 43 points was second on Manchester and first among club rookies (10th among AHL rookies).  His 21 goals led Manchester (tied for fifth among AHL rookies).  Elkins had eight points (3-5=8) and zero penalty minutes in the Monarchs run to the AHL Eastern Conference Finals.  He was signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on March 31, 2009.

Cliche, 23, played in one game with the Kings last season - his NHL debut - March 2 at Dallas.  He recorded 25 points (11-14=25) and 45 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games with Manchester, serving as a team alternate captain.  The 6-0, 198-pound native of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec earned two points (1-1=2) and eight penalty minutes 12 playoff games with the Monarchs.  Cliche was acquired by the Kings from the New York Rangers with Jason Ward, Jan Marek and a third-round selection in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft (later traded to Buffalo) for Sean Avery and John Seymour on Feb. 5, 2007.

Richardson, 25, set new regular season career highs for games played (81), assists (16) and points (27) while skating with the Kings this past season.  The 5-11, 195-pound native of Belleville, Ontario, also recorded 11 goals - including a career high four game-winning goals - and 37 penalty minutes.  The Kings had a record of 10-0-1 in games when Richardson scored a goal this past season.

Richardson also skated in all six Kings postseason games in 2010, recording one goal (the game-winner in Game 3 vs. Vancouver), one assist, two points and two penalty minutes.  Additionally, he was the Kings nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, given annually to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey.
