It was raining basketballs outside STAPLES Center. As a warm-up to two games at STAPLES Center this Sunday, Harlem Globetrotter Scooter Christensen continued the team’s 90-year celebration by nailing a 100-foot shot high atop the famed arena to a hoop placed next to the iconic Magic Johnson statue.

Scooter made the shot on Wednesday – just prior to a downpour of rain in downtown LA.  The location was fitting, given Magic Johnson has suited up for the Globetrotters and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of only 10 Honorary Globetrotters in team history.

The Globetrotters will celebrate their 90th year with two games at STAPLES Center on Sunday, Feb 21 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.  Tickets are available at AXS.com
