Downtown will shine this holiday season with the holiday tree lighting at L.A. LIVE & first skate on outdoor public ice skating rink

Grand Opening of LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE and Performances by LeAnn Rimes and Sheila E. Help to Launch AEG's Season of Giving

WHAT: Please join us Thursday, December 3 at 6:00 p.m. for the debut of L.A. LIVE's spectacular holiday LED multi-media presentation, official tree lighting ceremony, grand opening of the LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE (L.A. LIVE's first-ever outdoor public ice skating rink) and special performances by GRAMMY award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes, and Shelia E. and the E Family featuring the Family Drum Core. The Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony will also kick off Season of Giving* - AEG's initiative being launched to provide fundraising and awareness opportunities for charities and non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles area. Throughout the month of December, a different charity or non-profit organization will be honored at the skating rink each night as part of AEG's Season of Giving* initiative.

The evening will also mark the season's first lighting of the festive holiday lights displayed along the streets throughout the L.A. LIVE district featuring 75,000 lights that adorn 50 ten-foot angels along with over 265,000 snowfall LED lights covering 150 trees.

The LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE skating rink will be open to the public from December 3-31; general admission is $10 and includes skate rentals. The rink will measure 70 feet by 50 feet and can accommodate 200 skaters at one time. For more information, visit www.lalive.com/holidayice.
