2/7/11 (Los Angeles, CA) - Highly acclaimed comedian/actor SINBAD is returning to the stage at Los Angeles' award-winning CLUB NOKIA Saturday, May 14. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 4. General admission tickets for this Club Nokia show are $25 and $40 in advance and $28 and $43 the day of the show (if available).

Sinbad began his career on "Star Search" in 1984, and soon landed the role of Byron Lightfoot on the series "The Redd Foxx Show." Since then, he has appeared in such films as Jingle All the Way, playing opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger; Necessary Roughness and Houseguest co-starring Phil Hartman. He appeared on television in "A Different World" and in his own series, "The Sinbad Show."

Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup comedians of all time, Sinbad uses a "hit 'em in the face" style of comedy to get audiences laughing. Sinbad has built a loyal following by taking audiences' painful trials or embarrassing tribulations of day-by-day life, throwing them back in their faces, and causing an uproar of comedic hysteria. He can also make it sound profound without being profane. Not that he's any kind of choirboy, but by being the son of a preacher man he decided to keep his comedy clean after his father attended one of his early performances. He describes his humor as "semi-dirty;" his work is appropriate for most audiences. His comedy albums include Brain Damaged (1991), Afros & Bellbottoms (1993), Son of a Preacher Man (1996), and Nuthin' But The Funk (1998).
