Discussing Their New Album At The GRAMMY Museum
JP, Chrissie & The Fairground Boys to Preview Debut CD,
Fidelity!, The Day Before Its Release

LOS ANGELES (July 2010) - On Aug. 23, 2010, The GRAMMY Museum® will host JP, Chrissie & The Fairground Boys to discuss their hotly-anticipated debut CD, Fidelity! (La Mina Records/Rocket Science Ventures) the day before its release.

\"The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to host JP, Chrissie & The Fairground Boys the day before their much-anticipated album release,\" said Executive Director Robert Santelli, who will conduct the interview.  \"As a Museum dedicated to the study of the creative process, we are excited to hear from such a legend in Chrissie Hynde and her exciting new band about their collaboration and recording experience.\"

Written in Cuba, recorded in London, and mixed in Santa Monica by Bob Clearmountain, Fidelity! is an epic love story, albeit not a conventional one. Everything you need to know about the heartbreaking, but ultimately uplifting and fruitful relationship between The Pretenders leader Chrissie Hynde and Welsh singer-songwriter JP Jones is contained within Fidelity!'s 11 songs - from passion and desire, to sadness and acceptance. As Hynde sings in the wrenchingly candid opening track \"Perfect Lover\": \"I found my perfect lover but he's only half my age / He was learning how to stand when I was wearing my first wedding band / I found my perfect lover but I have to turn the page / But I want him in my kitchen and standing on my stage.\"

Before an intimate audience of 200 in the Museum's Clive Davis Theater, Hynde and Jones will field questions from Santelli about the inspiration, creative influences, and collaboration behind the new project.  Following the interview, Hynde and Jones will take questions from the audience and, for one of the first times, perform a few songs off of Fidelity!.

The GRAMMY Museum launched its celebrated public program series \"The Drop\" in June 2009 with critically-acclaimed artists Nanci Griffith, Rhett Miller, Mandy Moore, and Marshall Crenshaw.  Since then, Ace Frehley, Todd Snider, Don Was, Jakob Dylan, Shooter Jennings, Robert Randolph, The Hold Steady, Court Yard Hounds, Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs have all \"dropped\" their albums at The GRAMMY Museum®.  Taking place in the Museum's state-of-the-art Clive Davis Theater, the series regularly features musicians live and onstage discussing their most recent albums and musical projects, allowing fans the chance to hear about their newest work in a unique and intimate setting.
