Denver Marketing Executive to Oversee Key Operational & Development Position for Downtown Sports & Entertainment District Set To Open in Fall 2007

Less than one year before the completion and opening of 'phase one' of L.A. Live, the downtown Los Angeles sports and entertainment district currently under construction across from STAPLES Center, Lisa Herzlich has been appointed to a key executive position it was announced by Timothy J. Leiweke, President & CEO, AEG, owners and operators of the $2.5 billion development.
Herzlich, named Sr. Vice President & Managing Director, L.A. Live, will be responsible for the overall operation of the completed project, the implementation and fulfillment of sponsor & tenant obligations, booking of all programming and special events as well as overseeing security, parking and maintenance of the district's common areas in addition to community relations. Herzlich will report directly to Leiweke and Ted Tanner who, as Sr. Vice President Real Estate for AEG, is responsible for land acquisition, construction, tenant acquisition and overall development and build-out of the entire district. Herzlich has also been named to AEG's Executive Committee.
\"No single position will be more critical to the creation, overall operations and ultimately, success of L.A. Live than this job,\" said Leiweke. \"From operations, marketing, community and sponsor relationships to strategic planning, programming and overall management experience and supervision, there is not a single executive I know of who is more suited for this position than Lisa. AEG, L.A. Live and all of our tenants and investors are extremely fortunate to have Lisa in this role.\"
Most recently, Herzlich served as Marketing Director for Denver's Cherry Creek Shopping Center, a 1.1 million square foot district developed and managed by The Taubman Company. In this capacity, she was responsible for implementing a strategic marketing plan for the shopping center which directly led to increased sales productivity. Additionally, she was responsible for leading the Center's management team to achieve superior marketing quality and performance, goal attainment and positive community standing. Among the departments that she directly supervised were community relations, sponsorship sales, customer service, marketing, advertising, tourism, public relations and tenant relations.

L.A. Live, the four million square foot mixed-use development currently under construction on 27-acres in downtown Los Angeles, will create a genuine world-class sports and entertainment destination when the district, spread over six city blocks, opens beginning next fall.
\"Lisa will immediately fill a key position on L.A. Live's development team and bring new, creative ideas to better accommodate and serve our customers, partners and tenants,\" said Tanner. \"Her background will enable her to lend an 'operator's perspective' to the development process while her sales and marketing experience will provide additional insight to the final design of many of the guest amenities still in the design phase. Live will truly be the heart and soul of the entertainment district and an emerging new community in South Park while continuing to serve the employment and youth programming needs of the community.\"
Nokia Theatre Los Angeles, a 7,100-seat live theatre adjacent to Nokia Plaza, a one-acre open air plaza capable of hosting special events, community gatherings, cultural festivals and live performances and newly created parking structures are the first three components of L.A. Live set to open in October, 2007.
The next 'phase' of L.A. Live will follow approximately 5-7 months later with the completion of Club Nokia - a 2,200 capacity music venue - television and radio broadcast studios to serve as a west coast 'headquarters' for ESPN, The GRAMMY MuseumSM, an audio and visual tribute to the rich history of recorded music as well as one of the world's best-known awards shows, the Lucky Strike bowling lanes, the popular Conga Room restaurant and club, office space and nine restaurants owned and operated by some of Los Angeles' most successful restaurateurs among other assets slated to come \"on-line\". A 15 screen Regal Theatre will open in fall, 2009.
Slated to open in spring, 2010 will be an architecturally stunning, Gensler-designed 54-story tower containing two luxury hotel properties and private residences which will serve as a beacon for L.A. Live. Contained within the two million square foot property located on the corner of Olympic Blvd. and Cherry Street will be the Los Angeles JW Marriott, an 876-room property, which will serve as the headquarters hotel of The Los Angeles Convention Center, and The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, a 124-room boutique hotel.
Above the hotels, and towering over the downtown Los Angeles skyline, will be approximately 225 residential condominiums developed by AEG and KB Urban known as The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.
