From hosting the GRAMMY Awards to NBA fan fests, there’s no doubt that L.A. LIVE is the most entertaining place on the planet. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Here are five surprising moments at L.A. LIVE!

1. Kendrick Lamar Records ‘Alright’ Music Video

Imagine walking the streets in Downtown L.A. to the sight of rapper Kendrick Lamar dancing on top of a traffic light! It was in 2015, when Kendrick Lamar was spotted outside STAPLES Center filming his music video for hit song, “Alright.” This also took place a few weeks before he performed this song at the BET Experience. You can see why this was a top surprising moment.

2. The Rock Films TV Show, Ballers

In 2017, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made his way to STAPLES Center at L.A. LIVE to film a scene for the HBO tv show, Ballers. As you can guess, this was a pleasant surprise for us!

3. Chris Brown Paints Mural at GRAMMY Museum

Another top surprising moment of ours is when Chris Brown tapped into his artistry talents and took his skills beyond the stage by painting a mural at the GRAMMY Museum lobby in 2015. The graffiti painting included images of James Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson, and himself.
