The production brings treasured songs from Armenian music’s “Golden Fund” back to the stage, particularly the beloved national songs that shaped Armenian cultural life during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The concert is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Armenian national songs and supporting their continued preservation, development, and transmission to future generations.Rooted in Armenian national and folk traditions, these songs are distinguished by expressive Armenian melodies, culturally specific vocal phrasing, and the close relationship between Armenian words and music. For generations, they have been associated with family, childhood, friendship, homeland, and the familiar sounds of Yerevan.Featuring celebrated Armenian vocalists, a full symphonic orchestra conducted by Maestro Sergey Smbatyan, archival memories, vivid animation, and theatrical storytelling, the production connects music with significant moments once shared through Armenian radio and television.
